I have to say I was not impressed with this film, the first time I have used it. May be the processing, I adjusted in PS, as un adjusted it was overly warm coloration which did not reflect the true colours. This particular shot is taken through tinted windows which does not help.
I prefer Ektachrome for my colour work. I've never been a great fan of colour neg film in 50 years of photography.

I have two Foca Standards, one is 1958, with 35mm Oplar lens, the other 1960 with 35mm Oplex lens. I also have a 28mm Oplar lens (used for this shot)
which I use on either camera. both cameras have been recently serviced and have new shutter curtains(a friend in France fitted them for me)
They are simple to use and VERY reliable. Thousands of Standard model were used up to the 70's by French street photographers because of their ruggedness.

Immediately behind me is a slim railling, behind that the river. To my left is the Dock gate
(no admittance) and no raillings!!

Sorry to dissavow your suspicion!! The film was processed by me in E6 kit scanned on a Canon film scanner. The only "manipulation" was to trim the image to a letterbox shape, very slight USM 50% to compensate for scanning loss. The film is Ektachrome 100 VS which combined with the CV 15mm lens gives an almost polarised look. Problems at home mean a trip to Glasgow will not be for a few months, will contact then!!

I could not agree more Patrick, you just have to watch the TV news!! Why are the news readers always in pairs now, like watching a Punch and Judy show, what muppets!!!

Hi Rob
I suffer withdrawal symtoms if this lens is more than 20 feet away!!! It is also seriously heavy, heavier than the Nokton f1.5!!
I had it valued for insurance purposes last year, and nearly collapsed...... £900!!!
"Minger" will have completely baffled our transatlantic friends!! We must meet up sometime in Glasgow, I visit there quite often!!

thanks!! I will make you sick when I tell you that I bought the Taylor Hobson brand new in 1980 for £20 ex War Dept!! I used it a couple of times, then due to circumstances it was put in a drawer and forgotten till about three years ago, when I remembered it and tried it on the Bessa R2. Superb lens, even collapses safely making the combo very compact!!

Thanks for your comment Rob, this is a great set of shots, the Bessa seems to work for you as it does me. I have a digithing, but just can't seem to get the feel of the damned thing!!!

Thanks Ricardo, I did use a little sharpening, on the original. Think the problem could be caused by reducing it to 72dpi for the web!
Main thing is the print looks fine!!
Best wishes to Brazil

A trick my Uncle taught me years ago, look for converging lines in the scene, then emphasise them by getting down on your knees and photograph from a very low height! Gets more and more difficult as I get older!!
