Very nice shot, and well composed too. The horizon seems a bit tilted (counter clockwise) though.

Cheers,

Hugo

Pasquale, when I saw this image I thought, what an interesting old building - a pity that the light and the colours are so flat. There is not enough contrast or drama in the lighting to make this more than just a document of an old building. A different viewpint and contrasty lighting would be an improvement. I would be tempted to remove the colour and attempt to adjust the levels in Photoshop. If you can, why not try it. Good luck. David

I think it would help to rotate the pic so as to straighten up the verticals, increase the contrast, and clean out the dust speck in the sky to the right of the tower (or is that a bird?). If possible, reshoot the scene on a more cloudy day. It could also be good to compose the image without having what appear to be modern buildings on the left side on the top of the hill.

The composition is great, as is the resolution of the image.

Unfortunately, I can't help but focus beyond the statue and into the bright sky. I think this would be a great image if there was more definition, texture and contrast in the clouds.

Overall, a good job.

Pasquale,

This is a nice snapshot of a mountain but it surely could be made better. The main problem here is the lighting, judging by it I am assuming that it was shot around mid-day. Go back and shoot this in the evening when the light is more golden and warming. Also move over to the left a bit to remove the tree that is on the right as that is a little distracting. Go out and get yourself a polarizing filter which will help kill the haze and bring out the detail in the rock and sky. Also consider shooting this again on a cloudier day to add some substance to the sky. Lastly consider shooting this in B&W for a more dramatic effect.

In a way, I sort of like the vine on the cats face. He is sitting there with an annoyed expression because of something on his head. And the white one maybe has an expression of being apprehensive about going out into the big world.
It works for me.
I like it!

What beautiful little kitties. They are purrfect subjects for some great shots. I would have tried for a shot without the vine in the way of the grey one
