Like Petal, I like the depth conveyed from the grasses in the foreground. There is a lot of sky, without the clouds it would have been unbalanced, but the clouds are interesting enough to hold the composition together. Very nice.

This is fantastic. I love the browns of the landscape and the reflection. I go to Queenstown a lot but haven't been up there. Nice shot.

Great landscape shot!!! Beautiful colors, textures, reflections.... excellent composition, love the grasses in the foreground... they add tons of depth... well captured!!! They really look remarkable, esp. with the snow... I only saw them in summer, but even then it was a wonderful sight!!!!

Thought at first they were the same poles as in 'Blue Reflections' but these have bolts so I guess not. They make a good abstract type subject and nicely handled again.

nice composition Micky. I like the placement of the pillars and the fact that there is two makes it even better. It might be more powerful if it were taken about 45 mitutes later when the sun's light is a bit warmer or after the set for the still water. Maybe try a lower view point and see if that looks interesting. Great shot i likeit

A very poignent title if the area is about to be subdivided, and fancy weeds having a purpose!

You certainly bring out the colours very well.

Thanks for your comment Greg,I love this area as well and head up there at every oportunity.I thought it was quite a bonus finding a few weeds to use in the forground for a change, there was machinery there and the area was being subdivided,a sad sign of the times.
Cheers

Have only been there a few times but love the area. Keen to get there this year for a bit of fishing. Nice image. Looks lush and colourful in the foreground and that fimilar baron look in the background.
