Great shot - When should I visit and I will teach you how to work with cloudless skies - :-) Really - I kow hwat you mean but your use of an interesting foreground does well to offset the lack of clouds.

Beautiful Image - I cant relate to the blue of the rocks though - the reds, greens and yellow seem real - so how come the "cold blue"

Hi Serge, I see your point - what you ahve to consider is the nature of a panorama. I see a panorama as a means of depicting a sense of "the place" - It's a little hard for me to explain but I ahve always felt that a panorama composition defeats the traditional "rule of thirds" for composition. I think waht I am trying to say is - This panorama shows t\you what it is like "here" - your crop might make more sense technically - but it loses the sense of the place. I do thank you for taking the time to comment. I hope you look at the other images from my trip - I am showing of Tasmania - not my photographic skills :-)

Thanks Roger. The shot was in the morning not about 20 minutes later than http://www.usefilm.com/image/497966.html Your right about PS and stitching. -I do have (and use) Panorama Tools. But this shot was rather a surprise catch - I did not have my tripod so I was able to rotate about the nodal point of the lens ( well roughly) so in this case the 2 images just zipped together. The hardest part I find is blending the two because of slight variations in exposure and colour balance.

Great Maritime image - also loved you "Waterfront Property" Excellent I also wonder about the 5 seacond shutter speed -You would have needed a tripod for that - Certainly at f16 for that time of evening 5 seconds seems possible.

Thanks for your comment - but it was not a macro shot - this was with a 90mm setting on the zoom lens and I was about 3 feet ( 1 metre) away- these are quite large frozen branches.

Brenda, thanks heaps for your kind comments re: my portfolio - I am glad that my images are giving you warm feelings about visiting Tassie. No - I dont work for the tourist industry - grin. Many of your images are very powerful - like this one - I like how diverse your portfolio is whereas mine (with a few exceptions) is mainly landscape. This is a great shot. Ihave a link to my web site images in my Bio - Cheers
