Tjaart - To many good images to comment. You have a much broader portfolio than mine - I tend to only post Landscapes. Let me know if you would like to email occasionally dtasker@netspace.net.au
I live in Tasmania - Regards

Can I get an invite for the Motor Bike trip - Sounds like an adventure. Will be some fantastic photo opportunities. This is an image I really like - It is sharp focus over the whole of the image plus the soft lighting is excellent. Well done

Tjaart - I just started looking at your work.
Namibia has some beautiful desert scenes - to often the desert is portrayed as ugly and harsh and of course it can be. The Morocco Sahara ( Little Sahara ) near Merzouga has similar beauty

Hi Tjaart - excellent shot. I saw Bertrands exhibition in Singapore at New Year 2006 - His prints were on display along the sidewalk of Orchard Road. Amazing - He also had some photo interpretaion in Braille. One was of shadows of camels - that image of his inspired my image Deset Ride - http://www.usefilm.com/Image.asp?ID=1211406

Fantastic light . I have a friend in the US who specialises in water shots - just water and colours - this rates with the best of his work. You choice of Balck Matt and Orange text is marvelous and really compliments the image, making it stronger

I really like this - the leaning reads lead the viewer into the lighter top left corner. However the darker triangle in that corner has nothing really of interest so perhaps a very slight change of position could improve - stiil - its easy to say that AFTER the shot. Great work

A classic Autumn reflection and awesome colour. I think having the reflection dead centre like that takes away any sense of depth. I might have zoomed out and had more of the lake or more sky. Just a thought.

Thank you - I was really pleased with this image- Burano is a wonderful photographic location and I was looking for something other than the usual images of bright colours reflecting - here is a small - more common shot of Burano to give you some idea.

Very moody - another excellent photo. Usually I do not like to see a lot graion in an image but for this I think it works very well by helping to set the mood. I will be visiting Italy in April next year - I just hope I can find some beautiful landscapes like this to photograph.

Alberto, This is a very busy but also interesting shot - technically excellent. It is quite difficult to capture a full range of tones as well as you have - Well Done

Hi Chris - I am guessing this must be late afternoon light. One way to counter the "Lonely Wife" syndrome is to buy "her" a camera. Of course you do run the risk og getting shown up - my wife ( Carol without the e )takes 2 or 3 shots to my "million" and always comes up with something wonderfully different. I will be in the UK for 2 weeks in March 06 - Snowdonia and the Lakes district are the attraction this trip - drop me a line if you wish - dtasker@netspace.net.au

I really like the sebse of depth that the foreground tree adds. I might have steped 1 pace to the left so that the tree was a little more of centre - - this is a great shot

Not sure - but might have time to meet up - will be in Moab - Utah on the 2nd - think to drive to Zion and possibly Las Vegas before getting upto SLC on the 7th.

Kevin, You know I was having abit of fun with teh last comment - really this is a great shot - I like the angle of view - with the pier building in the lower third it just works so well even though teh pier itself is dead centre.
Question - Is that snow in the gutter channels on the roof between the buildings ?

I do declare - no PS - ( I dont mind really I dont) - I have to wonder about Alistair's comment about "cleverly hidden the lampost" - What lampost may I ask - and if is is indeed hidden how would you know its there - I can see what look likes a flag pole aligned with the wall of the pier building - In the spirit of contribution , I have removed said flag pole and the foreground roofline - cheeky I know. Iwas tempted to get rid of the Donald Duck - but that would be going to far I think.

Hi Pumpkin HD - I like this - I like LKandscape and ( and nudes hahah) actually I like a variety of images. This is apealing for the following reasons, 1, the "mono" tone, 2, the composition. the 2 subjects as Jim Says make sthis image work really well.

Thank you also for you comment on my Landscape.

Hey David 1200 feet in 2 miles is nothing - 2 miles is 12000 ( 1 in 10) feet - last weekend on my Junction Lake walk we climbed 350metres in 1.2 Kms which equals 1000 feet in 4000 feet ( 1 in 4) . Come on tough guy - you can do it - by they way we all had 40 pound packs for overnight camping ( 46 for me with my camera gear) - all true - good work David just the same :-)
