Everything about it is extraordinary. There's nothing flashy, nothing overdone, just basic elegance. From the reflections in the water, to the the plumage and his eyes, it's as close to perfection as anything can get.

The writings make it personal. One gets an impression that it's made up of thousands of people and generations. It reminds me of billboards, murals, and collages, and the random qualities that produces memorable works.

When the sun comes out after a rain in Oregon, it tends to be quite special, as it is here.

It's unmistakeable! Beautiful Arabic patterns combined with the angular, marble-like walls.

Lovely series! What's interesting here is that the lines go out and about, turning themselves outside in. Very pleasing to look at.

I like the clean lines of the building, especially the rounded corners. It interacts with the sky and whatever atmospherics are there.

Well the stone masonry reminds me of ancient architecture. The combination of stone and modern ironwork is something I've noticed about New York. This photograph gives me the impression of massive scale, of ambition, and the dreams of immigrants. It's a tribute, I think.

Now I want to go there even more. The sepia tone gives it a vintage look. Great detail, too, and I love that pano format. Maybe some day Usefilm will do a NY meet-up. I'd like to go.

Yes, and as youngsters, they tame quickly. Most people don't know they can't get rabies, too. I hope he grows up to be a healthy pet! I hope you'll do a photo documentary on his growing years. Best wishes to all;

Mark

They have their own unique cuteness, don't they? I'm happy for the rescue, and the nice photograph.

Sometimes we have to do unglamorous things like walking through muck just to get to elegant things such as these. It really is the perfect moment. Timeless and classic.

For me, I associate it with Christmas and holiday season. I saw things this way when I was a child; little things grownups would just ignore. If people would just stop and take a look, there are things, simple pleasures in seeing. The little Christmas bulbs do it for me!

I thought I've seen all the trees there ever was. They look like pines, somewhat. And I'm sure they're clones. Super surreal! And then there's the one rebel with the red tie.

I've noticed that you are frequenting square format images with really nice proportions within. You did a nice job isolating it so that the view is mostly gothic, starting from the Chrysler bldg. The colors are very appropriate in that it does get to that comic book appearance. It's more of feeling, a state of mind. I've seen it also in pure black & white. I guess it's all mostly in how the contrast and composition is manipulated.

I go from the branches, to the Christmas bulbs, to the window. Each plays a part in this little slice of time. The bulbs are the main point of interest; it all radiates from there. It has a wonderful poetic quality.

Hi Efisio; I like how you took the time to show the developer Rodinal and the time & fixer. You've captured a cozy little haven for the Vespa and people perhaps. Lovely work.

Well it's all about the nice shadows just as much as the subject matter. Some people don't get it, I guess. You must love this little one; it shows. I like this portrait.

I like how you converted it into a 1950's style photo effect, similar to ones taken with an old Brownie camera and flash bulbs, remember those?

When we photograph, we paint with light. This takes it to a more direct approach. I like the pitch black, which is great for the colors of the light drawings.

What a view! It looks like the 'magic kingdom' all grown up, if you know what I mean. You can do a lot with the sky, instead of it being total white-out. What can be done is taking an image of clouds or unusual atmospherics and adding it on as a layer. Lots can be done; it's a fun image to work on, and of course, to look at.
