The three little silhouettes in the lower left corner make this picture great. By including those humans You showed us how big this hall really is. The contrast in sizes matches contrast in lighting. Great!

I do like the idea behind this shot, but its not quite there for some reason. The contrast is just too high, resluting in it hurting your eyes.
Compositionally, for what you are aiming at, its pretty cool, just needs a bit of reworking with your PS.
