I like your sky. Very dramatic. I'm not sure if the silhuettes work for me but the sky is captured really well. Regards--Todd

Nice catch. Persistance and lots of film pay off. I looked at Ken's edit and I like the more dramatic contrast of dark clouds and lighter sunbeams, but I agree with you; the bird loses a lot of detail and the clouds are a little too dark. Perhaps if you were to isolate the bird as is and burn the clouds just a touch. Of course we all have our artistic preferences and I think the photo is beautiful as is. regards --Todd

Beautiful photo. Perhaps even better with a little less blue cast to it. I like the close-up crop. Regards--Todd

I've been hoping to shoot a bear here in the Shenandoah Valley, but I haven't seen one yet. I don't think they like me. Good catch. Regards--Todd

You have some great work here! Excellent portraits. Stick with your passion. If you're ever in Virginia I'll show you my red leaf path. Regards--Todd

Very nice image. I love the refractions of light in the water and the shadow. Are they going to dive?

The tonal range is very good. I wish the glasses were missing. Their sythetic composition clashes with the other natural elements (cotton blouse, wood, stone, vegetation). I also think her head would look better if it was farther from that horizontal line. The tangent detracts from the photos composition. This is mostly nitpicking though. Still a good photo.

Great fantasy/reality. The orange glow complements the bluish stone well.

It's obvious you have an attraction to this image since you've posted 3+ variations. I think that it is the silhuette that makes the picture stand out, therefore it is strongest when it is closest to simplicity such as here where the photo is nearly b/w. Beautiful image.

Wildly imaginative. On the critical side, the reflection doesn't match the wave rings, but that's just stupid technical stuff. I love it because it's crazy art where stupid technical stuff doesn't really count for anything. Thanks for sharing your skills both behind the camera and the keyboard. Definitely an inspiration to those of us who can criticize better than perform (me). Best regards --Todd

This is a beautiful child and a wonderful portrait. I love the crop and the colors. It is much more high key than much of your other work. I prefer the brighter colors. Best regards. Your friend --Todd

Jim,
I'm embarrassed that I chose you to leave one of my few one word comments without looking at your portfolio. Your work is amazing to me. Simple, elegant, sometimes humorous. You have great vision that makes for a true artist. And your generosity in sharing your techniques is uncommon even here. Thanks for sharing your work. This picture is perfectly balanced and tells so many diverse stories. Excellent stuff. Respectfully -Todd

I like the composition and mood. Somehow the exposure time bothers me. Maybe it's just me, but I think I would have gone longer or shorter. It's a beautiful place.

Good lighting and focus but the composition need to be livened up. There is too much black space and all the objects are in a line. Change the angles of the objects and fill the frame more and I think you will have a more dynamic photo.

Great comp! There is so much space in this photo. You can feel the endlessness of the ocean and heavens. Very simple elements of the man's silhuette and moon give a touch of scale. The horizon looks slightly tilted (or is that me?). The nearly monochromatic quality adds to the overall feeling. Nice job.

Nice falls. Great reflection on the foreground water. The greens and yellow look a little drab, but it's most likely honest to the environment. I am in favor of oversaturating pictures sometimes even though some would frown on that. The water is perfect.

I love the texture, tone, color and detail of this photo. The flower has some vibrancy and life to it. It's great just the way it is, but curiousity makes me wonder what it might be like with a smooth or glossy background to contrast with the texture in the flower. I think it's great nonetheless. Thanks for the complement on my PS skills. Regards-- Todd

Great use of scale... and a good plug for Krylon. The standing cans could be more in focus, but still a good shot. Don't ya love surprises after two years?!

You are definitely keeping busy with that camera of yours. I just haven't had the time, although I did shoot some lightning from a spectacular storm we had tonight. We'll have to see if they come out. Interesting village. I'd love to see it in person. Regards --Todd

There's a lot going on in this picture. Excellent colors. An interesting collection of reflections. Could use some sharpening though and perhaps more space at the bottom.
