This is a really nice idea and fairly well composed. I think this is screaming for a different background, it would be really nice if we could not make out where this was taken. Perhaps the use of a wide angle lens could help make it look larger than life.

i think it sets a mood very well. if you hadn't said it was at Niagra i would have thought something like a sewer. i think the composition does actually attract my eye, at least as the more i look at it. It starts at the openning with drops of water and then goes around and around until it gets to the glowing slime. Perhaps if you had taken a step or two back it might have helped a little. ... hum... a bit too conceptual... i think it really lack something in this opening to catch our eyes... here, there is no point of interest and the graphic side is not sufficient to make a great shot...
