Good long exposure despie lack of tripod this looks good. I am thinking of trying some firework shots this year. Do you have any advice about this subject?

I despise the cheerfulness of sunflowers normally having spent some hellish years in "the sunflower state" but this is the antithesis of that, this is beautiful and indeed sad and graceful.

As you said, a tripod would've helped get rid of the "shakes," but you got a really cool photo, nonetheless! You could've even said that you WANTED it to turn out like this! ;-)
It doesn't have to be perfect to be good! While a prefectly still camera might get you a fireworks photo that looks like a "flower" I kind of like the dischord that yours has!

Much better Chad. As the other image, excellent clarity, color and reflection. Good that you didn't include too much sky. A clear blue sky, not that it's ugly, but mostly uninteresting. If clouds are present or you can get some type of subject matter (tree, etc.) in the image, then plenty of sky is OK, as it then become background not main subject. Anyway this is just an opinion of an amatuer photographer as yourself, good luck.

Great work on these nice reflections... I like the difference in the blues...nice and light in the sky and deeper in the water.

Good shot Chad, you have captured a beautiful scene here. Overall lighting and clarity looks good. Really like the reflection in the lake. But I think this scene is screaming to be a horizontal. All the lines in the image are horizontal: shoreling, treeline, mountain line and skyline. If you really think it should be a vertical, then maybe try cropping out most of the sky down to the mountain tops, just a thought.
