I like the patterns that the cables make. But I would have been more inclined to shoot a vertical to go with the flow of the cables, cropping out as much distraction from below. I would also like to see the top of the bridge. :-)

OK, you were on a good path here.. just a few items.
It seems over exposed to my view here. The left side has a lot of washed out areas on the rock wall.
The tracks are off center and really throw the balance of the photo off. Take a step or two left and it would work fine.
I really like the idea of what you were seeing here. I hope you can go back and get a few more shots of this, because I'd like to see it!
