I like both the feeling and the impact this image has well done.

great light and wow - what a tree - I like your composition (except for the slight horizon tilt) - nicely done.

great lighting against that ominous sky. For even more punch, I'd underexpose this another stop to increase saturation and remove some of the hotspots on the cows near the tree. Well seen.

Beautiful colors, saturation and composition. I love the lighting on the barn. It couldn't have been taken at a better time of day.

Just beautiful. No problem with the horse - at least we can see what she is

Great placement of the horse. I don't mind that he/she's quite dark.

I also think the composition is great. I wish there was more light on the horse though. It would be nice to see some detail there.

Ms Cioffi,

What a beautiful church! Though the church is nice, I really like the cloud in the sky...it's cool! Perhaps you could have gotton a little closer to get rid of the green vegitation on the left....but other than that I think it's a great pic.

I love how this fills the frame. You got lucky there were no footprints in the snow yet ... If it were mine, I'd be tempted to clone out the power line, but the darn things are everywhere.

This is really nice, the bleakness of the storm comes across well. It would be nice to avoid cutting off the plants; I don't know if that was possible, but it's not a big deal.

Nice to see another E10 user! This does evoke the feeling of stark coldness, but there is enough life in the image to allow me to connect to the image. Nicely done. And, by the way, brrrrr!

Spectacular! The grass at the front really gives a feeling of depth to this.

Very moody and ethereal. Evokes a sense of something classic - brooding storm clouds, the old barn... just goes to show you that mistakes or technical errors can be more intriguing than the technically "perfect". Mishaps are interesting and fun in photography!

We drive through this area all the time and I can't for the life of me think of where this is shot from. Love the mirrored image. Good eye!

the mist looks like the pictures people post that claim it is ectoplasm...i heard if it is cold and you exhale the steam from your breath can give that effect. Or one funky negative bend. Anyways...really cool and i have been wondering if I would ever see this effect posted. Fantastic image.

Wow, Mary, that's impressive... somewhat ghostlike is an understatement, this image is absolutely otherworldly. As to that flare running under teh barn... was that mist, or is it the product of sloppy processing on the part of the photo lab? Either way, in this case, it works.
The soft tones and edges really convey a dreamlike, haunting mood. Really eye-catching work.
