I like the pose - these little critters are tough to capture! The framing is nice with the squirrel looking out of the frame, it seems a little high in contrast - was it lightened to bring out the fur of the squirrel?

I am so used to seeing beach photos as bright and cheery, it is refreshing to see something so cool and soothing! The darkness makes me feel that a storm is winding it's way inland - very nicely balanced shot.

I really like this shot - the island in the background is a great size comparison to make the ship feel huge.

John - that wouldn't have been the bush man in San Francisco you're talking about? Down by Fisherman's Wharf? They have a lot of colorful street performers down there!
I was worried about the heavy shadow when I took this shot - I did one with a fill flash but it just didn't look as interesting as this one to me.

I like the way the clouds seem to swirl around the tip of the lighthouse. Leaving the top 1/3 of the photo just sky also gives it a bigger feel - it helps to balance the composition and bring the attention to the lighthouse. Had you cropped it down the ground would have pulled too much focus. Very nice!
