I think there's a wonderful idea here, Robert, but for me it just hasn't quite worked.

A couple of possible solutions that I think would make wonderful images:

- the two girls on the right fully in the frame, with no other skaters, but left blurred as they are.

- the two girls on the right fully in the frame, sharply in focus, with other skaters fully in the frame but blurred.

Other possibilities as well - I hope you shot lots during this session! Sorry to be tough, but I hope my thoughts help.

Sheila, Thanks for the comment. I posted this quite some time ago so my memory may be a bit vague. I think I slightly cleaned up the grass at the bottom with clone stamp and slightly darkened te picture to bring out the sky. I may have added some saturation, but don't think it needed it. I had wanted to take this shot for a while and that morning was perfect...

Lovely landscape! Great placement on the building and the horizon. Do you use PS? I wonder (if you do use PS) if you adjusted the levels a bit if you would like the effect? It just sort of makes everything a look bit richer. Well done!

Dirck, thanks for the comment. I don't mind your re-correcting my shot. I think it probably look different on your monitor than it does on mine, as my shot is pretty saturated on my screen. With that said, I like your version too. Also, I looked at you portfolio and really like your work, which of course, makes the value of your input that much higher. Cheers! RG

Really quite a pretty shot - reminds me of standing under a tree as a kid and spinning around until I fell down The colors look a little flat or muddy to me, and I feel the image loses some dimension because of it. I hope you don't mind, I tried a little levels adjustment to get the colors to 'pop' a little more. Nice work!

Thanks for all the comments and ecouragement. I've made two attempts at cropping the picture as suggested by Marie, et al. Personally, I like the original, although I am now considering clone stamping out the grass. Thanks, again. RG
