excellent composition and colors. I notice that the bottom is made to look like a painting. Very creative.

Beautiful image Shady. I like the inner stare she has and the background is great too. Makes me wonder what she's thinking.

Nice exposure. I would imagine that adding the bird's chest and making the photo vertical would give the photo more sense of pride.

fun shot. you're right about the slave flash, or, you could have bounced the flash off the ceiling.

Nice composition and color contrast. A glimpse of her face might add a little to it.

Nice texture. You could try closing in more on the side of the boat to show more of what's going on with the deteriorating paint. This will also make the viewer glued while guessing what this is a picture of. Just a thought.

Thanks for your comments Shady. I looked at your photos and I think their great and very interesting. I also noticed that you use a rebel 200, I have a Ti. Your photos, for me, show that it's not really about the camera; it's about the one who takes it.

Cool photo, simple and clean. I like the unconventional framing, it works well here. I don't know if it is just me, but I think cropping a little bit from the top to center the longest petal, vertically, might make it a bit more interesting. Just a thought.

I love it. It is very moody indeed. Excellent color contrast and use of nd grad (I guess it made the sky more interesting).

Looks like an intentional abstract painting. It's amazing how someone can make art without him or her knowing it. Could use a little sharpness though.

I hope you'll forgive me for being blunt, but I don't feel intimacy in this photo. The smile is fine, however it is the type of smile you see in regular portraits, not in fashion shots. Her expression doesn't match her hairstyle and the clothing style. I don't see any theme that holds the photo together. I agree that it is lit quite well, though.

I've heard of Arbus before, but I'm not too familiar with her work. I guess I'll check her work out, now that you've introduced her to me. I'm a big Cartier-Bresson fan. Thanks for commenting.

Nice quality photo, and it does evoke a feeling of fear. I have a cropped version of it that makes the framing more symmetrical. I hope you don't mind, just a suggestion.

Excellent contrast between the sharp lines of the trees and the puffy white clouds, and the green plants on the bottom makes it more interesting and balanced. The only thing I would do to edit this one would be to crop out the line (seems like a power line or a telephone line)on the bottom left of the photo. Other than this, it's fine.
