July 4, 1776. The lovely MM just finished 2 weeks on the American Revolution in her class... and just a few weeks ago we were standing at Ft. Necessity in Pa. Nice shot.

YP, I have been thinking about this. I like it... yet, in my world it seems to be just a crop shy of perfect. Please, do not misunderstand... I am not saying this is a bad photo, I am simply saying that in my world, my own personal sphere, I would have cropped it a bit tight... and let the tattoo speak for the image. Since you mention the tattoo and it is obvious it is a lady... maybe the crop I offer would make this a bit stronger... then again, maybe not. Just saying.

IHOP of all places. Today MM nd I went to IHOP for breakfast. I love IHOP (they have great hash browns) and I mentioned to MM... over her left shoulder. There was a lady with an American Indian tattoo on the inside of her left ankle... and she was all of 65. I do not know if she was a rebel and had itdone 40 years ago... or if she was new and punk and had it done 10 years ago. I do know it was blue, the original color had faded. My guess is it had been done years ago.

Jim, this is a beautiful shot with great colors and a wonderful capture of the egret and its reflection. My only critique is that this may be a case of when less is more. Cropping the bottom and right sides of the photo can still leave the impression of the great expanse while making the bird somewhat more of a focal point. Well done!
