Christian,

Nicely frammed and great DOF. I would not have done it differently if I were to shoot it. Wish I had one to frame it at my office! It'll be a great honor.

Aiman, you have a very keen sense of color and pattern choice. Shallow DOF works on some subjects but it would not hurt if you also explore with other DOF to see if it would create a bigger impact otherwise. For this flower, I like the way you've framed it. Keep up the good work Aiman.

Aiman, nice work in spotting the abstract pattern. The color compliments well too. Wish you could have gotten all the five ends sharper. I'm sure it will produce a greater impact! Your lens is a good choice and its plenty sharp.

Aiman, you have a very keen eye for isolating subjects of smaller sizes. You have done very well here but a tripod would have permitted you to use a smaller aperture to render more of the lovely flower sharper. Another way is to shift your angle to get more of the flower as parallel to the film plane as possible, to capitalize on the DOF. Using your DOF Preview would help too but its takes lots of getting use to. Great lighting too! Lets see more of your photos!

Thank you very much for your comments Marc & Debi. Its actually a Water Lily according to my uncle. Sorry for the botany mistake. Yes its a bit over exposed. Could I have been pushing the limits of the film already?
