Rafi, it must help you appreciate what you have, when you have had to fight for it. You are enjoying the fruits of your sacrifice, as you should. Unfortunate that so many on both sides died and were unable to experience those fruits. Thanks for the very meaningful image.

This is beautiful, Rafi, I'd love to have it on my wall! I can't tell, is it a picture of an object, like a sculpture, or is it a purely digital creation?

I haven't been on usefilm much lately, I've been (shhh) spending my time on the travel photography web site trekearth.com, where I don't feel quite so anonymous. But I do come back to look for the photos by you and a few others!

This is fantastic, it's like a painting, Alper, with rich color even though you're shooting into the light. The sky makes a really nice mood, saying "it's dark, but the light is breaking though!" The wooden fence adds an excellent touch.

Thanks, Rafi, I hope the conference works out. Write whenever the mood strikes you!

Very ominous and dramatic, and yet somehow calm! Well done, Alper.

Not a picture I'd ever take myself, but it's really excellent, especially the lighting, Rebecca.

Very nicely lit for a flash photo, Rafi. Everyone looks relaxed, too, no tension in the air! (Or is that the illusion of photography?)

You might crop a more off the top, to just a little above your grandson's head, since we don't need to see the rest of the room.

A very nice, realistic, spontaneous image, Rafi!

Do they know you're posting this picture? Amazing they don't object!

You might crop the orange off the right side, it's slightly distracting.

Hmm, the cow seems to be disapproving...but it really provides some cultural context and some whimsy. Good framing of the shot. Very well done!

Thanks, Claude, I checked out TrekEarth, joined, and already posted a photo!

Very clever! Nice composition. Ideally I think the distance would be more in focus, since it is such a large part of the image.

Nice colors in such dim light! Too bad the humidity sign is a little small to notice right away--did you try cropping the bottom 1/3 or so to put the attention away from the foreground?

Very nicely composed! A great mix of colors, too. It could be a little sharper toward the upper right side.

Very nice tones! Good composition, too. I think it might be even more interesting if we could see faces, so the viewer could relate better to the people in the image.

Very nice, Marian, some Impressionism that the Impressionists couldn't create!

Very nice, it has a look almost as though it were on canvas (a Photoshop effect?) Just right for this image.

You have a good eye to spot this very nice combination of colors! The door does need to be vertical, I think, though.

A beautiful compostion with great colors, Samuel! Perhaps cropping off the bottom 10 percent or so would make it even better.

A nice, simple composition with good colors, well done. A little more asymmetry might make it even better, say, by moving the bench toward one side.

Very nice how the images overlap but don't conflict, Rafi--quite like actual memories!

I haven't heard from you in a while (of course, that's just in contrast with your previous pace that I couldn't keep up with.) Anyway, it's nice to see that the violin still has positive associations for you!

Another excellent choice to do with fisheye. I guess this is how he looks to a mouse. (As I said with the other one, more sharpness would be even better.)

Excellent choice of subject for the fisheye, Robyn! (But is it possible to get this with more sharpness?)

I have a new lens that zooms to 12 mm but is not fisheye; it gets some different cool effects.
