I think separating the second and third lamps would be an improvement, but that said I understand that sometimes these things are not possible. I love the composition as a whole, and the black areas between the lamps makes for a very intimate and atmospheric image. As Harry says, it is the photographer and not the equipment, even though the GX100 looks to be a cracking compact. I hope the meal was good.

I like the idea and this has very nice soft lighting is beautiful. The background is bothering me but not sure how. I agree with your choice of simple pale background with some texture but I think the crinkles may be too large and prominent as my eyeskeep getting drawn to the arrowhead creases top left.

All the best.

Good for a camera phone, but the lack of detail in the frame distracts me and in my opinion overpowers the subject. Making it (the frame) smaller, or getting some detail in there, I think, would improve this.

I keep returning to this but don't know what to say. I never thought of the burka anology but can undestand this. This is one great piece of thought provoking photography. I remain silent.

I love the big skies you get in Northumbria. And you made the most of this one. Congratulations on the POD.

Dark and moody atmosphere which is lifted by the highlights. I am surprised by the detail and clarity presented here. Full size it must look awesome.

Beautiful composition and stunning details. Excellent post production. This could have been taken anytime in the last 100 years. Another excellent image Claude.

Nice crisp white snow which can be difficult sometimes. Good composition. Its unfortunate that the sky is a little washed out.

This is very good. Colours are great and there is a nice abstract feel to the landscape. From a moving car?

Detail is good but in my opinion you need a little more space around the wreck.

If your about is a question, then from me the answer is a resounding yes. This is absolutely superb and a joy to look at together. Critique wanted. Sorry, I cannot see how it could be improved apart from maybe adding a black (or deep grey) edge to the seperate images (a 2 or 3 pixel stoke? should do) so they are defined and don't bleed into the website matting.

Thankyou Dear Shirley and may you have a happy and peaceful 2009. I often don't put images in projects because I didn't take the image specifically for a Usefilm project. I did however, specifically point my phone at the ground because I liked the patterns of lines, so I have put it in the lines project without feeling guilty. My very best wishes to you Shirley.

Now this is nice but I'm not 100% sure about the figure though as the head blends into the 'blackground'. I do like the grain and the lines and lighting.

If this was given a slight rotation then this would be outstanding. The perspective and the B&W coversion are excellent. It is an intersting image with lots to look at but is not cluttered. I really like this.
