Oooh Avi you are teasing us. Simply superb. Low POV is good. Selective colouring is spot on. Great B&W conversion. I like it a lot.
But...have you considered a square crop of the right hand side thus eliminating the bin on the left; cropping in the small gap between the two central taxis?
Nevertheless, a top $$$ image.

Thanks JD. The light was excellent that day. Shortly after I took this the cloud lifted and the atmosphere was gone. I like the square but hadn't decided on the final composition. This is a straight scan of the slide without any cropping and is open to interpretation.
Bilbao was fine my friend. Cafe solo is always good after a long journey!!!

You must know this is something special. The detail is super. The conversion fantastic and the grouping of the children perfect. The mist/cloud obscuring the background adds a lot of atmosphere to this image. I think if the background was visible it may distract from the subjects. Great photojournalism work. Something special.

Very unusual image and a weird place to find it. Nevertheless, fine processing. Almost a cross process or a 1970s polaroid effect.
A different style for you - but good.

Thanks Gary. Its an honour to be mentioned in the same sentence as JD but our workflows are quite different. In one of his images he describes his but mine is much more simple. Scan with no adjustment (using Vuescan), import into PS as a 48bit tiff (file is about 140MB!!) then level tweek, crop as necessary, (clone dust bunnies etc), convert to mono using the channel mixer (no fixed values on R,G,B channel but usually turn the constant to about -14%). Depending on my mood (or the music I'm listening to) I may pass through the Mr Contrast filter for an even more severe look!!
The sky was uninteresting for my visit to this tree on this day (but it was a nice sunset) but the rocks always look good in low light.

Thank you Saad. It was cold (about -8C) and a late sunrise (~08:30). However I did have to set off at 5:30 to get to this place in time for sunrise. It does work in grey but that I prefer the pastel tones in the colour version. Many thanks for all your kind comments on my recent uploads. Peace be with you.

Simple composition and as you say, interesting light. Good exposure on the snow which is notoriously difficult, but a 'tog' of your calibre should not be worried by the difficult metering.

My favourite of the 'On White' series. Simple minimalistic composition that uses the blank spaces so creatively. Number 3 is similar, but 1 & 2 appear as though they should come from a different series.

Great colours and composition. Interesting post taking processing that helps create a piece of art. I like the use of DOF and the selective focusing that makes the closest and furthest peg out of focus but the middle peg in focus, and so, becoming the subject.
