What fantastic green. The houses in the background give this a nice sense of scale.

Spent 2 weeks in Yellowstone and never saw a bear (except for the Alaska bears at the Zoo in West Yellowstone). Nice shot, glad to see someone else was able to find them. Great focus especially via the spotting scope. Did the N70 allow you to meter through the scope (my Nikon N80 will not) or did you have to figure it out and/or bracket?

Do you remember where in Yellowstone you were for this photo?

Very nice composition, this is an abstract (square patterns) within an abstract (the square of cleaning folk).

I really like the focus being on the green stem where the fine detail is and softer firework quality of the red. Somehow not getting the entire image (the flower) always feels wrong to me when I take my own photographs but it works so well when I see it in photos like this.

Nice capture of the detail on his wings and the very subtle pink color of his throat/pouch/whatever you call it. I was wondering about how you were able to shoot this and get the really nice black background. Was it done in camera or digitally afterward? It really makes the bird stand out.

Osprey in the Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge in Florida. I was amazed at how close you could get to them. In New England it seems like I rarely can get within 100 yards of them but in FL I was often within 10-30 yards.

Excellent, got both the eyes and the details of his fingers in focus. The frog could be any size (he looks huge) so like the use of the fingers for scale.

This is a great shot especially assuming that it was taken through glass. Is th is a cuttlefish?

Nice exposure. I am still trying to use my Cokin to get something even close to this.

Wonderful lighting. I never would have guessed it was natural light.

Not sure if the image will attach but I though I would include the uncropped/unphotoshopped image which might explain some of the graininess.

Keith,

In a room you can make dark (this was taken in my bathroom) setup your camera and focus on the subject. Turn off the lights and then open the camera shutter. In this case I had the shutter open for 15 seconds. Use a flashlight (or whatever light source your are using) to "paint" around the subject. Keep the light moving so as to not get the light too focused in any one area. You can achieve different effects by either putting more light in one area or not putting light in an area. In this case my bathroom was cramped and I had a hard time getting the flashlight directed on the right side of the image, which is why that side is darker and has more shadow. Use different lights/filters over lights to get various effects. I am shooting digital which has been very helpful as I can see the image after each shot and adjust how long I keep the light in any one spot (this was the 12th picture before I got an image I liked).

I love the look on his face and the fact that you snapped the picture when it is still not clear if the ball will go in or not. Nice shooting especially in low light.

Great lighting. I really like this one with his eyes looking to the side better than the one where he looks at the camera.

Great color range, it is so rare to have both the great sunset and the blue sky.

Thanks for the Feedback Ivan, I am working to get the focus better. I am using an 800mm and the camera has a built in 1.5 multiplier which effectively makes it a 1200mm lens. I think that I am experiencing a small amount of camera shake. Also, the lens that I am using is somewhat difficult to focus. Below is a new one that I believe is clearer.

Your macro photography is fantastic. I really like the way this image is in focus from the water droplets in the front to the center and then blurs behind. I probably would have gotten the focus 1/2 in front and 1/2 behind and they would not have worked nearly as well.

This is a very cool picture. I love the hands. Can you say more about how you did this?
