Nice fashion shot. Lighting and dof are great. I think it could be better with her looking at the camera.

I really like this portrait. The colors are very complimentary. There is one change I'd make and I'm going to stumble through describing it because I'm new to the lingo. But I would have her stand so that her chest is open to the inside of the image instead of to the outside edge...which might cause the eye to linger longer.

Nice portrait Antonio. Try rotating the image so the bars in the background are straight vertical and horizontal.

Nicely composed and pretty girl. Some of her looking at the camera might also be an idea, but this is still very nice.

Although the model is beautiful and the picture is technically great, I don't like the 'setup' of this shot. For some reason is just strikes me as too much of a force pose. Have your model be more natural and capture emotions and feelings and you'll be a master! Great series Antonio. Always a pleasure viewing your works. (7

I love this side frontal shot. Sort of sexy. I would've liked to carry that theme as well with like your head tilted back and staring from the side with a sensual facial/feeling (exposing more of her neck and draping her long hair back). Great piece and the background is perfect to compliment. (9

Nice piece Antonio! I like the natural looks and this carries it. I agree with the remark on the left cheek but that is minor compared to the full shot. Great work my friend! (8

lisa, i?m not obsessed, lol, she?s just a friend, and yes, it?s great to have a nice subject, it really helps, thats why it "may look" like i?m obsessed, lol, but no, i?m just taking advantaje of having such a great model...
thanks!

Is it just me or are you obsessed with this girl? :-) Just kidding. Nice shot. Not as sharp as your other ones and a little bright on the one side. Having her tip her head down might have helped that or darkening a little on PS. I like this, though. She takes nice photos. It is always good to have a nice subject, eh?

Cute gal, very eyecatching smile. This is the same format that you see on TV and movie screens. My suggestion is to back your subject just a little closer to the right side. It's just a touch too close to center, but not too far away from perfection. Good job here, nice looking girl.

thank you all, really... for people like is why i love this site, hehe, i?ll take the advice of the film, and thanks for the advice on the crop too, i?ll consider that on next shooting session...
and the most important, i?ll forget about ratings...
thanks!

I agree with Artie (how could I not - he is the master). Even though I use the rating system, I don't necessarily take too much notice of it. I'd consider cropping 5% - 10% from the top.

On your choice of film, even though I haven't used this film before, I'm not sure I like the skin tones it re-produces (if one can go by a scanned image that is). Try shooting this in either Kodak Portra 160NC or Fuji 160NPC. If however you wanted to shoot slide, Artie taught me a while ago to trust Fuji ASTIA...

Keep posting!!! :-)

hey, thank you both! lisa i guess i?m lucky to have pretty friends, lol, i saw your crop from the other shot and i really liked it, looks good too...
and petros, yes, i guess this is a little scanning problem, but i?ll keep the eyes in mind all the time...
thanks again!

I've looked at both and I frankly wish I could combine the pose of this one with the crop of the other one. I like the exposure of her face here and I just find her pose and position a bit more pleasing here. However, I think a tighter crop would help as I think there's a bit too much background. The DOF is perfect and I think the fleshtones are very good. Both are very nice.

Beautiful girl, and a nice background. I think you've done a nice job here. However, I think that this image would definitely improve, had the focus worked out a little better. In portraits like these, I always like to see the eyes in perfect focus (in this case it could be the scan...).

Other than that, well done!

screw the ratings....crop it tighter, get in closer...good pose, try to keep the lighting interesting although this works for her expression...keep it up and keep posting...you're off to a good start....the other version I saw of her before you deleted it needed a tighter more vertical frame...otherwise, you've got a good visual relationship with the girl....cool!

Ah...there is a close up and a different crop. So you did think of that already. I really like this shot too. Her smile is very nice. How do you know all these pretty girls huh? :-) The background colors mesh well with her dark clothes and coloring. NIce job, I think.

Actually I might like yours better because you can see the background and the full view of her better in your photo. But this was an idea....still I think I like your photo much better than this idea (that is my disclaimer)

Okay, here is my constructive criticism -- I hate this photo! Ha, no seriously. I love the expression on this girls face and I love the background. I like how the background fades out. I think the photo is very captivating. A closer crop in on her face might add a little more to the photo, but I'm not sure. The lighting on her face, might lack some shadowing that might add a little variety, but really I think this is photo is otherwise beyond criticism. I honestly like it and do not see why anyone would rate it low or not comment on it! I have the same problem Antonio, with the comments I mean, so I understand your frusteration.
