Our really cool driver said that this was the most dangerous animal- even more than the big cats. The cats will harass you for a food supply- this guy will ram you to bit for just being within eyesight.

Ha ha! He must be thinking: "That's the last time I'm licking a rock! Blech!"
What happened? His tongue is the same color as the dirt!

I agree with Carlen about the off center composition of the photo. It's great...and so are the colors. It is nice that the background is out of focus as well.

Yes, this this is indeed a huge spring-fed salt lake. The water which flows from here is quite hot, so hot that Kenyans from miles around come to do their laundry in the "soapy" spring water. And also, the skies are huge everywhere...
Thank you for the comment, Annemette.

Verdict: guilty. That's the guiltiest look I've seen on a feline face since I found my cat eating my yogurt this morning. CC

The people in the photo are (from right to left): my wife (remember her?), our Masai guide, and the good wifes' parents. I'm glad to know that we can participate together here when our schedules are too hectic...

Very nice Chris . . . looking forward to more too. A word of caution . . . watch the all important horizon line . . . it looks like a slight tilt down on the right side and I've seen otherwise perfect photos spoiled by that. Minor point here and great picture . . . just wanted to bring that to your attention.

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

I am so happy that you have joined usefilm! The salt lake is beautiful…who are the people and why are they crossing it? I can't wait to see more of your trip! Thank you for renewing my excitement for this website once more. I started posting again today.

Thanks James,

It was a fine moment to capture this sky- about an hour before the ice
storm hit. The colors remind me of your photo "Pictures of Sky In The
Arvo". Good Work!!
