That's pretty much what I had to do for most of the shots... Sometimes it worked better than other times - heehee. :)

Yes, I can understand how white egshell could cause exposure problems. Since the subject is the egg instead of its environs, I would have shot most the time at -2 EV.

Awww, thank you very much, Alicia. :) I translated your comment (even though I could guess what most of the words were - heehee) and I want to tell you how much I appreciate your kind words. Such a lovely compliment. Muchas graçias.

Honestly, Paul - the exposure was the toughest part about this assignment... I am happy with how this one turned out and I thank you for your comment. :)

Do you want me to tell me how I shot it? ;) Thank you for your positive feedback on my overall 'Egg' project and for another lovely comment. It means a lot to me that you don't just say, 'Good job!' and leave it at that. Thanks again and I hope you'll check out the rest of my gallery (not everything in there is an egg - LOL) if you have a few minutes...

Wow, Devina - I'm impressed with your comment! Heehee. Thank you very, very much for such a thoughtful and detailed critique. I really appreciate it. This shot isn't perfect because it's a little soft-focus in places but the exposure was tricky and I didn't have a tripod... Either way, overall I'm happy with the results. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts.

Kim,
Who knew taking pictures of eggs can be a great art?! You done a very good job! I like the angle you shot this in. It makes me wonder if the lines are pushing the egg up, or if the egg is going to roll down either way.

Wow, I’m impressed with this photo. I like the grains of sand on the egg. You have great texture. I like how there are ovals to the bottom right, and smooth grains to the top left…cutting of the two diagonally in the middle of the egg makes the picture look more sharp and professional in quality. 7/7!

It was a VERY bright day and the exposure and depth of field was often tricky so it was cool when I could retain the texture of the egg and still have it white. Thanks for all the comments, Paul. I really do appreciate it...
