Kim,
This is beautiful, and very detailed work. I love the "unusual vision" of the small details that most people miss...very nice capture.

I want to thank you very much for your detailed critique and positive feedback. I appreciate it very much. This was a bit of a tricky shot and I did try it from several angles, and different focal points. I liked this one best but I'd certainly keep your suggestions in mind if I'm ever in a similar situation again... Thanks once more for taking the time to leave a comment like this and let me say that your jaguar shot is pretty cool! :)

Thank you for your constructive criticism, Anindya. I do understand what you're saying and I did take several similar shots from different angles but I liked this one best. Personal preferences and the subjectivity of art, I guess - heehee. Thanks again...

I like your photo a lot, you made good choices. The only thing I find visually disturbing is the unsharpness of the reflection (the tree), but I figure there was no way to get both the jaguar and the tree in focus? It's not a problem that the jaguar's face can't easily be seen -- if you look hard you can see it, and I find it makes a picture more interesting if one does not immediately become aware of everything in it at first sight.
I was in the exact same situation a couple of weeks ago at the zoo -- jaguar behind glass and lots of reflections. I responded to this by standing very close to the glass to shield off the light, and making a picture of the jaguar in my own shadow (see attachment below). Your solution is much more elegant, though, if you can get the tree a bit sharper.

The concept is fine-looks like the big cat is dreaming of the jungle.A clearer view of the cat would have made the pic more attractive imo .The face is obstructed by the reflection--could have been avoided by a little more careful framing.
