Here are a few changes I made to your picture, about 3 minutes of work in Photoshop. What did I do? Healing brush to clean up the debris on the petals. I also used Levels to tweak the RGB channel to these settings. Black: 5, Midpoint: 93, White: 218

Rebecca,
I like what you are doing here but the image will be far stronger if you gake a few minutes to clean the dust specs of the petals and then pull adjust the Levels to make the image 'pop'. Right now the picture is too flat.

A wonderful winter landscape Rebecca. (wish it was a bit bigger though) I like how the tracks lead off into the background. You are a brave soul to venture out in such frigid temps! Of course if you live there you must be used to it (me...not in a million years). Welcome!
