There is no problem with picture quality, 9 megapixels is more than enough for me, i tend to use around 4/5 anyway. The standard lens is fine, the zoom is manual but the focus is not, this is not a "true SLR" camera, but then a true SLR would cost twice as much.
I have also had no problems with light, I have experimented with lower isos and it all works fine. I'll be posting more photos so you'll be able to see this.

I'm very happy with the Fuji s9500. It could have more features (such as manual focus, and a detachable lens) but its very very good value for money if your not a professional.
