Thanks all, and @Paul, indeed most of the tanks were a bit dull, 'lacking' rust. Or stairways on the sunny side;)

Great shot:) I'm always at the wrong place when in a thunderstorm.. and never anywhere near a camera. Would love to make a photo like this. Beautiful. And thanks for commenting on my photo's! cheers

great, somewhat moody picture. nicely balanced composition, perhaps could use a tiny bit of sharpening?
cheers!

accidentally opted for 'sharpening'(medium, i reckon) when uploading this photo.. shame. Can't undo that, i'm afraid.

hi Petal, thanks for commenting on my last photo. Taken a look at your portfolio and have to say, great work! thumbs up. Long way for me to go, to match your level Chose this particular photo to add a comment, since i'm pretty sure i recognize the scene. The shot must be taken from a bridge in Maastricht right? Beautiful sky.. i'm a sucker for skies like these. Guess i could consider myself rather fortunate, being a student and living in Zeeland for the weekends. Nothing but open sea and skies all around. You ought to have a look, it can be truly amazing.
Keep up the good work.
cheers

thank you all for commenting on this one, i really appreciate it. And Derek, thanks for showing me the idea you had in mind and all. I find it hard to form a clear opinion on this photo.. i guess i still like it best, the way it was, but the drop on the left could be somewhat distracting. Though i think it's not that bad, because in my opinion, the colored drop should not attract all the attention. There must be room to 'wander about', with your eyes.
Anyway, it's nice to see the comments all of you gave, and it helps me judging my own photos.
And i'll be trying some things with the PS-lens blur soon, when i get a better computer here.
cheers

Hi Derek, thanks a lot for the comment. I guess i have to agree with you on the top left corner-issue. That 'leaf' was rather close to the lens, much closer than the rest of that corner. Perhaps i could try to 'blur' it a bit with PS, but first of all, i'm not that good with PS, and second, i try not to mess with my photo too much. Apart from the obvious changes you can see on this one.
I tried a little bit of cropping just now, but i'm afraid that, if i crop it a bit, the idea of the photo gets lost. By that i mean that, if you crop too much, it kind of makes it unclear what you're looking at (some sort of leaf, that is).

i guess.

Did i actually make a point here? :s

Anyway, i'll be experimenting some more with this one, cropping it, in particular.

wow.. beautiful scene.
Especially taken into account you did no significant PS-work, it's a stunning picture.
Great use of shutter speed adds a lot of drama.
Beautifully colored sky and all those rocks.. i love it.
Plus, i love the sea anyway
well done.
cheers, jurjen
