This one is a very beautiful composition - a glimpse of life in sand dunes of the desert. It is beautiful as is. Nonetheless it may also be interesting in B&W with higher contrast. I suggest making it B&W with Photoshop using the "Channel Mixer" that will allow to play with the tones.
My best regards - Armen

Hi Thilo .. Thnaks for your nice commet .. I'm really glad you liked my shot .. I Don't exactly get what you mean by analogue look ..

Thilo Bayer Thilo Bayer   {K:50358} 12/7/2005
Hi aLi,

This image almost has an analogue look... I would love to know how you get this outcome.

The general division between sky and foreground gives the image depth. The off-centering of the grass makes the image very special.

best wishes,
Thilo

Hi Don .. Many thanks for stopping by, for commenting on my shots and for your nice words.. Mmm well yeah I guess the colors you see in your monitor are the right ones .. the other shot was thaken just as the sun was rising so I guess the colors of the sand are a result of that .. anyway I didn't tweak the colors much .. I mean the color saturation option of my camera was set to Mid-high and all I did in photoshop was to adjust the levels in both shots which might change the colors a bit..

My very best regards,
aLi

I see in this picture that the sand is very red so the other one must be right in the soft light. Very nice composition but you might crop a little from the top. Don.

Wow, research in the genetics lab! That sounds exciting, and impressive! We did only a relatively small section of genetics in biology, but it was quite fascinating. Hope your study for exams goes well aLi!

This is wonderful, the lighting is perfect for this shot to intensify the already very warm colours; the light has also shown the detail in the sand. Well done and thanks for your kind comment.
