Pat, I have been having the same problem with the image losing punch (mainly saturation and sharpness.) It seems to help when you give it just a bit extra sharpening and saturation before saving to web. I have been experimenting with over-doing it in anticipation of the loss. It also helps to have your images in sRGB mode and not in AdobeRGB workspace as you are more likely to see what you will get on the web. I like your image of the rockhouse as there is a nice feeling of space with the shadows leading into the house and there is the beautifully intense sky to bring the eye back down.

Thanks Ray. What drives me nutts is the lack of sharpness from the original when it gets posted. The original is much better.

Nice color, Pat. Love the blue sky. I would crop out the tree in the upper left corner. Nice shot.
