I know what you have done! You found a large stuffed Eagle that is poseable, and you created this magnificent series of portraits in your own back yard. How else could a mere mortal get such unbelievable shots?

From all your eagle series I choose this one as my favorite one.
Thank you for presenting this wonderful collection.
Great shot with excellent details and dof. A 7+++ from me.
This is every wildlife photographer dream.
In California usually they spend the winter in the Klamath National Wildlife Refuge; however this year winter started early and some wildlife managers think that the lakes that support the waterfowl population will freeze pushing the ducks down south to the Sacramento Wildlife Refuge which is closer to me.
I can't wait until I get a shot of one of these majestic birds.

Fantastic Darlene. Colour, detail and composition, all are wonderful. I showed my eldest daughter some of your shots when she was last over and she reminded me that way way back when CB radio was popular with my kids they gave me the call sign of 'bald eagle' Kids can be cruel, but funny. I can hear his piercing scream! The bald eagles and the golden fly around here on a daily basis but are too high up in the hills and along the river so I admire your patience to get these pictures. Right now it is only 9 above zero and I don't have the anti-freeze to set out there and try to get pictures, so thanks so much for sharing these wonderful images! Pat
