Hi Thilo, As you say, competing shapes is the theme. Each one trying hard to pull you in their direction. This creates a certain kind of un-easiness in the viewer. (I'm sure this was intended) because you have done this in the past. There is a tension in the shot because of the contrast and miss match of geometry and that makes he image dynamic. It is different from my Railway Lines image because of the different geometry, but I find a similar effect. Andre

What do I see.... ehmmmm lets see... I spy with my little eye... a fabulous shot!!! Super perspective/angle, great tones and excellent composition (love the way that triangle comes out of the corner)... well done!!! Neat image, that's one of the advantages of living in a BIG city, subjects galore... Maastricht is a small town compared to Berlin... LOL!!! BTW any reports of things/people gone missing there.... ???

This is another stunner in a brilliant series! As I shop around for a wide angle lens, these shots push me towards the super-wide. (OK, I know it would be a 16mm with the crop factor.) To date, I seldom use even a moderately wide lens. It's a dilemma. ;-) You see what you get me into . . . Because of your interesting work, I've got a Holga now, and if I ever get the prints back, I'll see if some are worth posting. Great work . . . Regards, --George

What do I see??? A lot of contrasting geometric shapes... And definetely a lot of triangles... One can be lost in them just trying to count them all... Wonderful perspective and excellent composition... Love the tones and contrast... Love the angle in which you took it... A superb work as always my dear friend...
Cheers,

An image with great strength and dominance, taken from a wonderful perspective. I love the way the buildings seem to be cutting through the canvas, excellent tones and clarity Thilo!! I feel a lot of tension in this image, well done my friend!

Yes of course. I've been to see my sister in Erlangen numerous times, I worked in Bubenreuth for five months and I stayed two weeks in Nürnberg as a study visit for work. My father is from Bamberg.....so I guess there's a lot of Franken in me

This is the way to shooy glass and chrome....sharp. high contrast and in a threatening manner....reminds me a lot of the movie Sin City with it's highly stylized metro area........and I'm not going to mention Lebkuchen or Bratwurst....I've noticed that this is BERLIN
