First off, great photo, Roger. And what a great entrpreneural idea. I think such a place would go over big in California where we city-folk drive for 100s of miles to fish at the lake. Great Japanalia shot!

I'm so glad you liked this, Gabriela, and found it amusing. I will be posting another view later. And you might like to look at a wider-angle view that I took in B&W when I first started getting back into photography a couple of years ago+ http://www.usefilm.com/image/241651.html

Dear Roger, I love this shot as a shot and also because it amuses me! Great details on the upper part, those buildings with nameplates and advertisments for companies, the architectural details (white balconies on a red building, the white eyes of the windows on a black building). But the most interesting place is the fishing pool. The details are amazing! My compliments for this one!!!! Gabriela

Yes, Colin, I do like it. I just never think of frames. Of over 600 pictures I've uploaded just ONE has a frame. I really must try to remember they sometimes can improve the look of a photo...

Another insight into inner-city Japan, Roger. You've captured a lot of interest here. From the adverts shouting from the top of the flats, to the anglers, seeking any source to pursue their hobby. A good perspective, and nice inclusion of the anglers and the golden fish. (look like giant, goldfish carp here).
I had several suggestions when I had a white sky, against the draining white page background, to say I should place a thin dark frame around. See what you think.

Wow, Susie, you liked it! Thanks a lot for the encouragement... I've tried to capture this fascinating place many times, and will be uploading another attempt probably tonight, but it's quite hard to capture the right atmosphere. I've tried it with B&W too...

Thanks Rob, but what do you mean by "distortion correction"? I don't think I did any correction at all on this one...
