I love the different textures, colours and contrasts. The smooth bright green and red against the rougher looking dark background is so effective.

This picture really moved me. It seems so forlorn and poignant. The gray of the ground has a lot to do with it, but I think it is that large black leaf and the smaller ones that contrast so well with the colored ones and create the feeling I am trying to explain. Beautiful . . .

Now here's another take on the single colour leaf on the monochomatic background. I like the splashes of colour in the smaller leaves in the image. Nice effect and still in keeping with the mood. Cheers - Ann :)
