About I took this picture as the sun was rising from the mountains over Colorado Springs. I know the colors look really grainy, but believe it or not that's how it really looked - I did not alter the colors in a photo editor. Supposedly that star is actually Mercury, but I don't know too much about astronomy.

I love the mood of this picture. Surely it would have been better if it was a bit sharper, but i also made a few pictures that look similar. I like this sece, it reminds me of one of my favorite songs by Norah Jones: "Lonestar where are you out tonight?
This feeling I'm trying to fight
It's dark and I think that I would give anything
For yout o shine down on me"
Best wishes, Gerhard

Good pic. I actually know this spot and have a similar photo in my records. Good composition and colors. Recommend a lower ISO. :)

Why do I feel like I have a better idea about where this picture is taken than just C Springs?

I love the picture even with the grains and wish I could be out there to see sunrises like that all the time.

Wow, amazing colours! I love how you can still see the black of the night sky and the dark sillohuette of the trees.
