About	The Kalon Minaret is the symbol of Bukhara, an historic Silk Road city in Uzbekistan. The Mosque was nearly deserted the day we visted and the arched doorway from the gallery made a nice frame for the front of the mosque with the 155 ft tall minaret in the background.

good one indeed. I guess not so many tourists are making it there nowadays. Uzbekistan had become a difficult country to get to in recent years... A pity really, lots to see there as your photos show. Thanks, Slava.
