Wow what a pretty photo Roger. I love how everything seems to be spilling out into the street. The well put together Japanese woman seems to be veeerrrry carefully looking things over...!

120 Film? Yes, definitely, Rob. You MUST try Fuji New Pro 400. The grain is good, like the 100 ISO emulsions of not so long ago, with beautiful natural colours and a loooong range of tones. You can always turn up the saturation if it isn't strong enough for you after that digital Canon you use. It has two unusual advantages. One is wide dynamic range, i.e., details in BOTH shadows AND highlights (not necessarily when you first look at your shots on the screen but apparent when you look at the details in PS, and therefore recoverable with the right treatment). Put another way, you can say it has broad exposure latitude. Also it has an amazing tolerance for mixed light sources. Oh, yes, and it scans well. What more could you ask? I will use nothing else on my two MF cameras--the Arax and the Voyageur. A lovely film.

I have always been amazed at how these shopkeepers can get so much stock into such a small store and then display it so artfully. I'm not sure if that really is barrel distortion. Perhaps shooting from a lower position would remedy what I think you are referring to.

Yes, the colours are excellent, Roger, as is the overall composition.
I do see a little barrel distortion top and bottom, but I doubt I'd have noticed it had you not mentioned it.

This was a pleasant surprise. Looking at the thumbnail i thought this was a quaint little shop in my part of the woods (New England). Japan??? Beautiful shot Roger.
