Matt was looking away from me and turned just as I was taking the photo. This shot turned out even better than I had planned. The unfortunate thing is the quality. I had only had my digital for a couple of days and was taking shots still on standard (yes, naughty me). Lesson learned! Despite being able to see the pixels in his hair and beard I still really like this shot. I like the expression, the lighting, and the way the background is blurred (some background blurring is just plain distracting because it's so unattractive).
i love how he looks as if he doesnt quite know what to expect from things around him, hence why i love your title :) did you subject knwo the photo was going to be shot wor was this a surprise?
