Hi Kathy, This was taken Sunday night. I was actually taking some sunset photos when this gorgeous moon appeared at My back!!! What a great surprise!!! I just stared at it for a few minutes before taking any photos!!! I was in awe!!!

This is really beautiful John, I really like the nice lighting and perfect exposure, the moon looks wonderful and adds nice contrasting color to the rest of the scene, and to get this handheld is really great, this is one to be proud of excellent to say the least..

I believe I used S-1/30 A- 5.6
That usually works pretty well for the moon.
But Your settings are real close!!!
Just experiment a little and You'll see the difference!

HI john!
I love this moon shot. Last saturday night i also took some shots of a moon. but i used a film/manual slr. so im not sure if used a correct settings for aperture and speed. I guess i used like s=1/15", f5.6... what do u think? too bright?
