Hi Henk-Jan, Re your earlier question about the background. I can inform you that I have a similar background on this photo http://www.fotop.net/Steenheilesen/egretsaikungnov/white_egret_3165
The reflection is not seen when you look into the water but the lens will capture it. The linked photo is captured with my Nikon 300mm VR F2.8. Best Regards and Happy New Year,
Steen

It's always nice to learn things. I don't (yet) have a macro lens, so I can't compare it with my own experience. Must say: your other photos are also very nice (with the same remark about the water!)

I just checked another photo from the other site of the pier. It shows a similar background. I will try to upload it. The lens is a 200mm macro lens and thats the reason it is making that background.

Thanks for your comment. No - The background is like you see it. I shoot other photos that afternoon with the same background. I guess it's the light from the sun going through the roof of the pier that make it. I also have a photo with red color in the water. I can't upload it. :)

Beautiful shot, but the background looks a little artificial. Did you use PS (or something like that) to correct some things or is it just that magnificent nature, which always looks different than we expect?
