Hi Susie, thanks! I took pictures of dahlias (and foxglove and sweet peas) this summer in Fairbanks, it was a dull grey day, and they've been watered recently. When I used a crop in the collage with Flower and Fish, I discovered they have great potential in terms of shape and shadows. I hope with all my heart that your Mom is doing well, best regards, Ina

I think this photo is exquisite. I like the muted colors and the play of light and shadow on the "child" flower. The barely-there highlights on the upper leaves are very nice. I also like the texture of the "mother" flower and the raindrops. The dark background works very well to showcase all these elements.
All in all, a very pleasing photo and a nice dedication to your friends.

Absolutely precious photo. Such a unique and creative composition and wonderfully titled. Perfectly exposed and the droplets are exquisite. I cannot find fault with this photo at all. For me it's a perfect photo and exceeds the 7 rating limit.
