Hi Sam, F
First off, sorry it took so long to reply to your comment and thanks for your honest critique of this photo. This is why I love usefilm. I cannot grow as a photographer if I do not know what I am doing wrong. I really appreciate your comment that I am one of your favorite photographers on usefilm and I do not care how inexperienced you feel you are (which I would argue with you about:) Please take a look at the photo again and read some of the posts by me so you might understand what happened about the overall darkness of the photo. As far as the unstraight horizon, I realize it is about 1.46 degree's off from being straight but it was a perspective I was trying to use to enhance the mood of the photo. This does not, in anyways mean it is right but just an artists interpretation (I wanted it to look like you were looking up the beach).
Please do not take this reply the wrong way, just as I did not take your critiqe the wrong way. I just felt I had to explain what I was trying to accomplish, so you might have a better understanding of what I was trying to do.
I also commend you for taking the time to make honest critiques and ask that you please continue to do so. I cannot learn and will not always have an excuse. If you and others do not say anything, I can not look at my photo's and better myself;)

No bother what so ever Armando. Always looking for suggestions and advice. Please look at other replies so you understand why the photo was so dark.

Hi Alison,I really want to go to Panama but at this time I do not have any viable work in that country. Until I do, or I reach retirement age, which is till about 18 years from now:) I will continue to have to live in the US, much to my wifes dismay:(

James, This is one Absolutely Fantastic Shot. I Love the Colors of the Sky. That really set the mood of the silhouettes...IMHO. I only have a few suggestions....First off let me say that You are one of my Favorite Photographers....So I know that Someone with my Ability shouldn't be critiquing a photographer such as your self. With that Said....To me....Being as your Dog( which looks to be a golden) is Part of the main subject....I think you should have Brightened up the area of the sand a Tad bit...Secondly...I know that Earth is round....But I think It is more eye pleasing if there wasn't a downhill to the left look to the ocean...I have attached the following as an example of what I was meaning. I hope that I didn't upset you in any way. Your work is out of this world and I was just spouting off with my thoughts. Let me know what you think. Best Regards
Sam III

That sunset is amazing, I wish I could see the dog a bit better, but he sure posed nicely for you. I love the rock formations on the beaches. Do you know if you will be moving down there.?Alison
