Hi Ingrid, I am just coming out of a 10 day meditation course and haven't been able to answer till now. I am traveling with a laptop so that i can store all the images i am shooting as i travel. And Yes Lake O'Hara is very close to Banff in Yoho Nat. park which is only about a hour drive from the town of Banff. I am glad you are enjoying the images of my travels....stay tuned as i have 3 more weeks of travels before settling down for the winter.

Tim - I truly envy your get up and go. Especially when it takes you to locations such as this. I know you use these image for inspiration on painting so...You might consider doing a horizontal flip on this one. I found the open space of rocks to the right a bit detracting. So I flipped it and then the larch serves to hold the eye in on the right. Great work sir. JB

Superb shot Timm. You always seem to find places that are like paintings.

I've really enjoyed being along on this great adventure of yours, treking through hills and dales, far and wide. How are you able to download these? Are you carting along a computer. You've provbably already addressed this issue, but unfortunately, I overlooked it. One of my 'someday' destinations is Banff and the surrounding area. Is this anywhere near there? I can't believe you've got snow already. The larch trees make for a wonderful contrast against the stark yet beautiful landscape. No more mosequitos, I take it? You guys look like you're having way to much fun! Thanks for taking us along!

Breathtaking view, stunning colors. My only concern is that the Larch trees are partly in the way, obscuring the distant lake behind

Wonderful shot, contrasting the colour of the trees and the predominantly greys of the rest of the image. Beautiful scenery beyond, as well. Dave.

Yes, a REALLY distinctive style. I like both the photographs I saw from this visit you made. VERY effective.
