Wow - excellent shot, Alison! The bright orange-red of the chinese lantern shows up so nicely against the white of the bowl, and I love those cool light refractions dancing through its shadow on the bottom!

Thank you, dear Alison, for a very educative lesson. As an MD, it was particularly interesting for me and then there is the association about eating (non-toxic) forest berries, both as a very young child in Norway and as a student in Switzerland. On one of my vacations I brought my parents, flying from Switzerland to Israel, berries they had not eaten (or seen) for many years.

What a wonderful image, Alison! The thumb caught my eye immediately. I really like the shadow in the water and the bright red of the Physalis.
I used to grow them in my garden (the P. alkekengi).
