The curving concrete reminds me of an apple peel, as it is cascades off the apple.

Thanks for your kind comments. As a matter of fact Volcano is the name that the Barzilian architect, Oscar Niemeyer has given to his creation in Le Havre (actually it is an art center). Here is a brief description of the construction along with a wide view:

It is on a square fixed in the orthogonal plan of Auguste Perret for the rebuilding of Le Havre, at the end of the bassin du Commerce, that Oscar Niemeyer makes emerge its two volcanos. Between the level of the street and the court downwards, the Brazilian architect develops his usual vocabulary. A set of simple and powerful, curved forms and roundnesses (two volcanos connected by the ribbon which acts as railing on the level of the street), slopes and staircases to connect the two levels, the whole in white painted reinforced concrete.

It is really a beautiful piece of urban space that you can contemplate for hours and from different angles. Wish you'll have the occasion of visiting it...
