Roger, this is quite philosophical question - about PS usage.
I can understand yours position and respect it.
As for me, I believe that PS posttreatment is as usual necessary. Of course, I've some rules - for e.g. do not change important details on the image. I can delete branch of tree, tiny bird on the sky or wires - but not more.
The main point is that in any case we have not get "genuin" objective picture. In any case this is our interpretation. Is so, why we should limited ourself only by film or absence of PS?..
This is my IMHO, of course. Other photographers have their own points of view on this problem...
As about this shot, I believe that PS helps to make it not so ordinary, as it was "as is". Saturated colours gives - from my point of view - additional "strength" to it. Again, IMHO:)))

Yes, the name is right! The tune running through my mind was the famous overture of the same name by the Czech composer Smetana. I do not use PhotoShop so I am sorry I do not understand your explanation. If the blue colour in the distance is natural, well, fine. But it looked a bit too strong (saturated?) to me.

Dear Roger, thank you for comment. I can mistake, but this river goes though whole Prague and local peoples call it as "Vltava":)))
Interesting moment. This shot was made from hill, called Vishegrad (with old church and cemetery). Next photo (#8) in Prague series is again from the same point. You can see the difference in Prague "topography". This shot looks like a "countryside".
I do not use any filters (always I've got them). Quite uncomfortable to attach it to Coolpix 8700:(
Blue tint is quite natural. Only what I did - practically double light parts of the image. Firstly you select "lights", then make new layer via copy with "multiply" option and then - if necessary - correct "blending option". This method equalize brightness on different parts and amplified colours (like Hue/Saturation, but sometimes with more interesting effect).
Regards, Serge

So this is the Vltava? Guess which tune is running through my mind now...! The first time I can remember seeing a photo of it. It's beautiful and you've captured it well. I wonder if a UV filter might have reduced some of the blue tint in the distance? It seems a wee bit strong to be completely natural... but what do I know!
