Dave, There was no sharpening used on this image. Colors are right out of the camera. I processed original in Nikon Capture and converted to jpeg from raw. On this image I did not use APS CS2. I used PSP 8 Eye candy to create the frame. Thanks for noticing that I was slightly eclectic. I listen to a different drummer. Regards, Ceceilia

Brilliant colors, good format, and even a nice double catchlight in the eye. I glanced through your portfolio, eclectic.
A few of your pics have what I think is either over-sharpening artefact or maybe chromatic aberration. What software are you using to process your image data? In this one there is a rim of dark shadow above the bird's head. Or maybe this is just a double image from flash ghosting. I like the detail in the shining green coat.

Deb, What a very nice thing to say. I have been viewing your portfolio this morning and you have some excellent work there. I love to take macro's and that is what I am practising now. I hope to get good at it someday. Every photograph is a learning experience. Sincerely, Ceceilia

Excellent work. Flowers are one of my fsvourite subjects and I love to stare at my flower photos and admire their beauty in my past time. Every winter I spend a week at our farmhouse which is 240kms away from my hometown of Calcutta, India , just to take unending photgraphs of the flowers that grow there. I hope to learn a lot more about flower photography from your portfolio shots. Brilliant protfolio.

I love the lucky ones. The photo's we are not looking for. They are the most treasured to me. I am excited when a vision works but there is no vision better than those I did not see.

Right place, right time, quick fingers! Where would we be without those once-in-awhile lucky accidents! Great shot and really like the presentation. Works perfectly with this shot!

Susie, You have no idea. My husband has at least 20 hummingbirds and I only had one and then plop right in my view finder using macro no less. Thank You visiting, Ceceilia

Thank You for your generous comments. As with most of our good captures some just happen. This was all the birds idea. I just got lucky, Ceceilia
