Beautiful shot of this old door, perfectly prepared and presented, and put to such good use calling our attention to that web site. Good work.

Really nice image, Gayle! Like Christine, I have vivid memories of the old screen doors, too. My recollection was of people chasing me out of the house, and me running for my life. ...Brad

Excellent tones and textures, Gayle. They really bring out the vintage quality of the wooden door and the old style screen door. At first glance, the steel handrail gives the appearance of supporting the house, holding it up, in its time of tired need. Very appropriate given your 'about'. Nice work, girl. (there is something about those old screen doors that brings back summer memories of when I was a kid and hearing the sound they made behind you as you ran out into the glorious summer morning)

A wonderful image, Gayle, and perfect to illustrate the situation! I love the texture in that old door! We shall indeed overcome - perhaps this horrific event will finally be the push overcoming people's apathy about all the terrible things that have been going on... The public's enormous response and generosity to help the victims of this tragedy are heartening! Maybe as we start to repair New Orleans and the gulf coast, the momentum will build and we can begin to repair the country itself!

Gayle this is a moving and sad image and a good remembrance. I just can't get over the devastation those people have suffered, not just a few but hundreds of thousands have lost absolutely everything, a horrific tragedy for sure...thank you for these reminders...wonderfully done...Linda
