I think it has to do with the compression, that is what gave it the pixelated look. If I can be of any help let me know.

Thank you for your comment Ellen. I did no editing on this photo other than cropping. I am just practicing with Macro photography. This one was probably taken just using auto in macro mode. In the future I plan to take notes to verify my settings.
