About I never saw a discontented tree.
They grip the ground as though they
liked it, and though fast rooted they travel about as far as we do. They go wandering forth in all directions with every wind, going and coming like ourselves, traveling with us around the sun two million miles a day, and through space heaven knows how fast and far.!
(John Muir)

This was taken down at cove Island Park, this is a very old tree and I am glad it survived, in the micro burst we had the other day 4 trees near it came down.

A contented tree, and why shouldn't it be with a view like this. Beautiful light. I like the shadow patterns on the trunk.

Hello Alison!!! This is so nice! The tree seems to be longing for a sit on the bench! It reaches towards it as if to say "I'm old and weary, may I rest awhile?"
Well done my friend! take care and God Bless!

Yes, we've had a lot of trees come down this year, too, Alison! I'm glad this beauty didn't though! Nice composition of the scene!
Dave.

Micro burst? Alison this is beautiful, I love trees, and especially the ones with the twisted trunks and branches. Great to see it contrasted against the sky, very nicely seen and captured...:):)Linda

Hermoso lugar, se respira calma y tranquilidad a la sombra y fortaleza del árbol.
